Over the past 15 years Mr. Neel has served as mediator
in over 900 disputes involved in litigation or on appeal. He began his mediation practice in 1990 while a partner in the civil
litigation firm Neel, Seymore, Price and Livingston, LLP. His Mediation Training has included basic mediation training through
the Travis County Dispute Resolution Center, The Attorney Mediator institute, the Harvard University Program of Instruction
for Lawyers basic and advanced Negotiation Workshops, and numerous advanced training programs. He has served as a mediation
instructor for the AA White Dispute Resolution Center, the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center and the Attorney Mediator
Institute.
Prior to beginning his mediation practice, Mr. Neel practiced law for over 20 years in Houston, Texas. His
Practice focused on civil litigation including personal injury representing plaintiffs and defendants, real estate and landlord
tenant matters, contract and other commercial disputes, insurance bad faith and other insurance disputes, employment matters
and construction disputes. He has served as lead counsel In over 100 jury trials, numerous appellate matters at the intermediate
appeal level and three Texas Supreme Court cases.
Mr. Neel received his J.D. degree from the University Of Houston
College of law in 1970, after receiving his Bachelor of Science from Lamar University in 1967.
Mr. Neel is a member
of the State Bar of Texas, Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, American Bar Association, Houston Bar Association,
Association of Attorney Mediators and the Association for Conflict Resolution.
